1st Euro-Mini-Jam 2010Euro-Mini-Jam
Who: Scouts and guides from the participating nations of the age around 13-16 years old.
Where: In Iceland at the Ulfljotsvatn Scout centre.
Why: To meet other scouts on similar age from the small nations of Europe, have fun and experince scouting and guiding in international atmosphere.
When: 19th – 24th of July 2010.

Finders of Baden and Olave
During the Euro-Mini-Jam there is an ongoing game that we call “The Search for Olave Baden-Powell and Baden-Powell”.
The game revolves around two dolls that will be hidden around the campsite. The job is to look for these dolls in the international patrols. Every day during the flag ceremony those who have found the dolls and take good care of them exchange them for a reward.
Today it was Super Dolphins that found and kept Baden-Powell:

Day 1
At lake Ulfljotsvatn the sun has been shining today. Icelandic participants arrived on the site last evening but our friends from Cyprus, Malta, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Monaco and Faroe Islands arrived to the campsite at 03:00.
A few hour sleep later the schedule began with opening ceremony and introduction game to the campsite. International patrols were formed after lunch and creative pioneering work starts after dinner.

Jonnabiti – the coffee house
The Iceland most famous scout coffee house – Jonnabiti will be on Euro-Mini-Jam.
It will sell various goods such as soda and candy. It might therefore be good to bring some Icelandic Krones with you to the camp!

Euro-Mini-Jam Menu
The official menu for the Euro-Mini-Jam is ready!
Every day there is:
- A breakfast consisting of juice, milk, cereal, bread, fruits etc.
- An evening snack consisting of cacao, coffee and biscuits

Hike information
We would like to post some information about the hike scheduled on Tuesday 20th.
- Each participant has to carry its equipment for the hike such as clothes, personal food etc.
- Each patrol need to carry cooking equipment, compass, gps, maps etc.
- Tents will be provided at the destination where all the Euro-Mini-Jam sleeps at the same place.
- Sleeping bags, mattresses, food for the day after will hauled for participants and leaders.
The hike will be discusses thoroughly on the leaders meeting on Monday. Safety aspects will be detailed and discussed.

Remember your country flag
As mentioned in the equipment List. Each nation is asked to bring their country flag. Please don’t forget it =)
Remember that participants will need to carry a ”day”-bag during the 24h hike for clothes, food and hiking equipment. You therefore need a suitable backpack for that (more information in the equipment list “What should I bring?”). Tents, sleeping bags, food for the day after, mattresses etc. will be transported to Tuesday sleeping destination by car.

Please read it well over and come back to us if any information is required from your contingent. Especially the registration details since some parts of the registration forms were hardly readable.
