Triathlon
The Triathlon will test you in a variety of ways. To overcome these three challenges you will have to be resourceful and quick. You will have to be able to work with your fellow scouts as a team, finding solutions and acquiring the necessary knowledge to solve the tasks.
We have very clear guidelines for the first challenge. It will mainly test your design and pioneering skills. The task is to make a pioneering catapult. You can do research at home, design and try out your own version, which you will then build at the Euro-Mini-Jam. The challenge will be to use the catapult to throw a small object as far as you can. The team whose object is thrown the furthest will win the challenge.
The second challenge will test your agility.
Do you know how to sail a boat – how about a canoe? How can you transport water with nothing but a punctured pipe? These skills will come in handy during the second challenge, and of course teamwork will be very important!
To solve the third challenge your team will have to be resourceful. How can you transport a fragile object safely from the top of the tower to the ground without taking the stairs?
We will add further information on what material will be available on the camp-site in March-May.
